Congratulations to eight Roseville residents. The Roseville City Council appointed them to several commissions at its March 22 meeting. Commission members are volunteers and serve as advisors to the City Council.
Amanda Becker, Paul Haas, Laura Palmquist and Adepeju Solarin were appointed to the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission. The commission advises the City Council regarding the effective and meaningful involvement of Roseville residents in local government, and proposes activities to increase understanding, engagement and inclusion.
Nick Boulton and Leah Ybarra were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The commission provides for citizen input concerning parks and recreation facilities, programs, needs and concerns.
Erik Bjorum and Emily Leutgeb were appointed to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission provides a forum for input into planning applications and development plans and policies.
The new commission members will begin their appointments in April. The Council also extended the application period for the Finance Commission. Applications will be accepted through April 5.
