Preschoolers, welcome to a nature program especially for you. Roseville’s Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) invites the youngest nature lovers to a Sprouts program designed for children 1 to 5 years with an adult.
Seasonal themes focus on weather, animal life, and plant discoveries through early childhood hands-on learning and adult/child interaction. Classes meet Thursday or Friday from 10:00 to 11:30. Enroll for a single month or all three sessions.
- January 7 or January 8: Snow Adventure - Touch some snow, toss some snowflakes and discover a snowy world. Dress for going outside and sliding in the snow!
- February 4 or February 5: Winter Tracks - Make some tracks, follow some trails – discover who or what makes tracks on the ground. Lots of tracking fun awaits you! Dress to go outside.
- March 4 or March 5: Habitat Hopping - Explore a forest, compare soil and sand, and meet a desert animal! Discover differences between forest and desert homes.
Fee is $38 per adult-child pair and $19 for additional child for a three-month series, or $15 per pair and $7.50 for additional child for a single day program.
