Earlier this summer, the City of Roseville was accepted into Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy Program (PIE), a program that supports communities by assisting them in developing and implementing energy plans.
Participation in the program will help Roseville meet its energy goals and help residents and businesses reduce their energy bill and carbon footprint.
The city is seeking a diverse group of volunteers that reflects the diversity of the community to serve on an Energy Action Team. It will be approximately a six month commitment. All meetings and workshops will be conducted virtually due to the current COVID-19 guidelines. Volunteers will take part in up to five workshops over the next six months.
Participants will bring their unique perspectives and experiences to help Roseville develop an energy vision, goals, priorities, and actions that represent the diverse interests in Roseville. These perspectives will result in the creation of a strategic energy action plan on behalf of the entire Roseville community.
The team will include local leaders, business owners, and residents who will outline energy goals and plans. With the guidance of Xcel Energy, the Energy Action Team will serve as a key stakeholder group for planning and implementing Roseville’s Energy Action Plan.
