[ARCHIVED] Kid Learning Opportunities at HANC

This school year is like no other, and the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) is offering quality programs that also accommodate current Distance Learning schedules in Roseville schools.

Wednesdays at HANC
HANC is offering a nature-themed day camp on Wednesdays for kindergarten through fifth graders to enrich their “asynchronous” learning days. Campers will spend mornings participating in fun nature-related education programming. Optional afternoons will feature outdoor nature-related recreation. 

Trees are Terrific: September 16-October 14
Animal Architects: October 21-November 18
Nature’s Kitchen: November 25-December 23   

Half day ($165) or full day ($215) options are available. Snacks will be provided. Kids attending full day, please bring your own lunch and beverages.

After School at HANC: Junior STEM Club
Minneapolis Engineering for Kids offers hands-on learning from various engineering disciplines to develop problem-solving, critical thinking and peer collaboration skills. Cost is $99 per session. This camp is designed for kids in kindergarten to third grade.

Junior STEM Session 1: Tuesdays, September 29-October 20
Junior STEM Session 2: Tuesdays, November 3-24

After School at HANC: Nature Play Date
This is a chance for kids to get outdoors and enjoy socially distanced play in nature. Activities include games, wilderness skills and team building. Cost is $35 per session. This camp is designed for kids in second to fifth grade.

Nature Play Date Session 1: Thursdays, September 24-October 29 (no program October 15)
Nature Play Date Session 2: Thursdays, November 5-December 10 (no program November 26)

To register, call Roseville Parks and Recreation at 651-792-7110 or visit www.cityofroseville.com/registration. Space is limited so please register early.

Programs meet Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Safety sheets that detail precautions and modifications can be found on the program website. Participants and their families are encouraged to review safety sheets before attending a program.
