[ARCHIVED] Census 2020

Census_MN2

How do you divide $675 billion in federal tax dollars fairly across the nation? You start with an accurate census count of every person living in the United States.

One of the most important things you can do for Minnesota, and for Roseville, is to complete the 2020 Census. Every household will receive an invitation to complete the census in mid-March. The letter will include a web address, a unique Census ID Code and a toll-free telephone number to call for assistance.

Completing the census is required by law. Every household is requested to complete the census by April 1. If you do not complete the census by April 8, your household will receive a reminder letter and paper questionnaire. If the paper questionnaire is not completed by the end of April, a census worker will visit your home.

Completing the census online is efficient and secure. Information is encrypted and once data is received it is no longer stored online.

If you don’t have access to a computer, Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QAC) have been set up across the state. Computers will be available for anyone to complete the census. Staff and trained volunteers will be available to offer assistance. The Ramsey County Library in Roseville is a QAC.

Links to census information, including locations of QACs, and information in 59 languages is available at www.cityofroseville.com/censusinfo.
