The final weekend closure for repairs and resurfacing of westbound Hwy 36 in Roseville and Little Canada will start July 19.
- Westbound Hwy 36 will close between I-35E in Little Canada and I-35W in Roseville from 9pm, Fri (7/19) to 5am, Mon (7/22).
- Eastbound Hwy 36 is reduced to one lane between I-35W and Hamline Ave from 9pm, Fri (7/19) to 7am, Sat (7/20).
Beginning at 9 p.m., July 19, westbound Hwy 36 will close between I-35E in Little Canada and I-35W in Roseville through 5 a.m. Mon, July 22. At the same time, westbound Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane between Hwy 61 in Maplewood and I-35E in Little Canada.
At the same time, the loop ramp from northbound Cleveland Ave. to westbound Hwy 36 and southbound I-35W will close. The right lane of westbound Hwy 36 also will also be closed at Hwy 280 during this time.
However, the loop ramp from southbound I-35W to eastbound Hwy 36 will remain open and northbound Hwy 280 to eastbound Hwy 36 will also remain open.
During the westbound Hwy 36 full closure, you’ll have to detour north on I-35E, west on I-694 and south on I-35W.
The ramp from northbound Cleveland Ave. to eastbound Hwy 36 will remain closed and detoured until late August, just prior to the Minnesota State Fair.
With the completion of work on the westbound highway, construction crews will switch to the eastbound lanes of Hwy 36 between I-35W and Hwy 61 beginning next weekend.
We appreciate your patience while we make these improvements. Plan ahead by checking 511, and give yourself additional time to reach your destination.
