Weather forecasters are predicting drought conditions to continue into autumn. In addition to the recommended outdoor water restrictions, the City of Roseville encourages businesses and residents to reduce water usage.
We offer some ideas that could help reduce water usage.
- Find and fix leaks
- Install high efficiency showerheads and faucet aerators
- Replace older appliances – washing machines, toilets and dishwashers with WaterSense fixtures and Energy Star appliances
- Install water saving landscape design, such as rain gardens or drought resistant plants
- Water in the early morning or late evening to prevent evaporation
- Upgrade automatic irrigation systems. Roseville residents may be eligible for a rebate when upgrading their system. Call 651-792-7004 or visit www.cityofroseville.com/water_rebates for information
