Minnesota is in the early stages of a heat wave that is expected to last for several days. Exposure to extreme temperatures can cause heat-related illnesses. We offer a few suggestions to help beat the heat.
- Drink more water than usual
- Take cool showers or baths
- Limit outdoor activities
- If possible, avoid using the stove or oven to cook
When at home, do your best to stay in a cool environment. Those who do not have air conditioning, are encouraged to visit places that do. Some options include a shopping center, restaurant, movie theater, or a library. COVID 19 restrictions may limit capacity at locations.
In Roseville, residents can spend time at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive. The Indoor Ice Arena has a walking track and places to sit. The Skating Center is open 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays; and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. Hours are subject to change.
