The Roseville Fire Department has announced the promotion of three firefighters to the position of lieutenant – Dan Concha, Ted Larson, and Josh Waylander. The position of lieutenant is a new position for 2021.
The lieutenant position will be integral in the future operations of the department. It is a supervisory role that will take on a significant part of the day-to-day shift leadership in the Fire Department.
"These are new and exciting positions for the Roseville Fire Department," said assistant fire chief David Brosnahan. "(The lieutenants) will play a pivotal leadership role in our day-to-day operations and response. All three of these new lieutenants are well qualified to take on this role and have a unique and exciting opportunity ahead of them."
Roseville Fire Department lieutenants report to the shift battalion chief and will be responsible for supervising six on-shift firefighters. As first-line supervisors, lieutenants will also oversee coordinating responses, daily training, and duties around the fire station.
