Congratulations to Police Officer Dennis Kim. He recently completed a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Supervision and Management Program.
The program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn skills needed for leading employees and understanding their impact as leaders. Participants completed a rigorous program with courses that address ethics, mentoring, supervisory skills, leadership, and other topics.
Officer Kim, who has been with Roseville Police since 2007, was recognized on June 2 along with 59 other law enforcement personnel from around the state. Officers must complete eight courses within five years to earn the certificate.
“The BCA Supervision and Management program provided me with valuable training and networking,” said Officer Kim. “Courses are taught by many current and former law enforcement leaders who have decades of experiences to share with program attendees,” said Kim.
“This quality training adds to the depth of Officer Dennis Kim’s previous education and experiences in law enforcement,” said Roseville Police Chief Rick Mathwig. “It provides him with increased knowledge in leadership and management issues in law enforcement. The Roseville Police Department is filled with formal and informal leaders, and Dennis Kim’s commitment to continued education in these topics should be publicly recognized. Great job, Dennis,’ said Mathwig.
