Congratulations to college students Julia and Lauren, who found the 2025 Rosefest Golden Rose Medallion on the playground at Keya Park.
The pair of Roseville roommates discovered the medallion, worth more than $1,200 in prizes, on Wednesday after deciphering the first two clues.
The clue that day referred to “the heart of Roseville,” which helped them narrow their search to the park in the center of the city. They were apprehensive at first because they didn’t see any other medallion hunt participants and thought they might be in the wrong spot. They were already making plans to stop by Rosebrook Park when they searched the playground and found the medallion. They were ecstatic when they found it!

Julia, who grew up in Roseville, has been participating in the Medallion Hunt since she was a little child. She has fond memories of trying to decipher the clues with her family and exploring all of Roseville’s Parks in search of the medallion. Lauren had never joined in a Medallion Hunt, but was always eager to participate and wanted to join in on the fun this summer since she’d be living in Roseville during her summer break.

Thank you to sponsors and community members for making this annual treasure hunt possible. See you in 2026!
