Lieutenant Travis Steinberg began his law enforcement career with the Roseville Police Department in 2007. Travis currently supervises the patrol division in which he oversees 6 patrol sergeants and 30 patrol officers. His other duties include overseeing the Field Training Officer Program and the K9 officers. Travis has served as a patrol officer, Impact officer, and patrol sergeant. Over the course of his career, Lieutenant Steinberg has held several specialty positions in the department, including: Field Training Officer, FTO Supervisor, EVOC/PIT Instructor, Explorer Advisor, and Traffic Safety Coordinator. He has received 3 Lifesaving Awards (2013, 2019, and 2020).
Lieutenant Steinberg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement (2003) from Minnesota State University- Mankato. In 2019 he obtained a Master’s degree in Police Safety and Law Enforcement Leadership from the University of St. Thomas.
