Lieutenant Jen Engh was promoted to Lieutenant in 2020. Lt. Engh supervises the Investigation Unit including six detectives, the school liaison officer, investigative analyst, the property room and evidence technician and the crime scene team.
Lt. Engh began her career with the Roseville Police Department in 2000. Since that time, she has served as a patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant and detective sergeant. Throughout her career, she has participated in Coffee with a Cop, Citizen’s Academy, Roseville U, Nite to Unite, human trafficking details and presentations, Minnesota Organized Retail Crime Association (MNORCA), Financial Retailers Protection Association (FRPA), Shop with a Cop and Adopt a Family. She was recognized with a Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association (2012) and was named Female Officer of the Year from the Minnesota Association of Women Police (2009).
Lt. Engh holds a Master’s Degree from the University of St Thomas in Police Leadership, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College and her Law Enforcement certificate from Metropolitan State University. She also completed the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Women’s Leadership Institute, MN Chiefs Leadership Academy and Leadership in Police Organization Program (LPO).
