Roseville has been named the fifth-best place to start a business in Minnesota by NerdWallet. The consumer finance studies business climate and local economic health to compile its rankings.
In the recently-released survey, NerdWallet examined 123 locations in Minnesota with populations of 5,000 or more and analyzed the following factors:
- Business climate
- Average revenue of businesses
- Percentage of businesses with paid employees
- Businesses per 100 people
- Local economic health
- Median annual income
- Median monthly housing costs
- Unemployment rate
Roseville earned impressive numbers across all variables in the study, with 3,800 businesses maintaining impressive average revenue per business of $2,223,381. With an unemployment rate of 2.8%, Roseville’s ranks far below the national average and among the lowest in the survey.
