Warm Weather Delays Neighborhood Ice Rink Openings

Warm Weather Delays Ice Rink Openings

UPDATE: Lexington Park Rink is open for skating.

All other rinks are expected to open late next week. Crews are actively building ice.

Click here to visit the Neighborhood Ice Rink page for updates.

With the unusually warm temperatures, Roseville Parks and Recreation crews will not be able to open the city’s six neighborhood ice rinks by the scheduled December 22 date.

Crews will continue to monitor the weather, but they need consistent temperatures below freezing in order to make ice.

Groups of skaters at the John Rose MN OVAL.For a premiere outdoor skating opportunity, check out the John Rose MN OVAL. The OVAL, the largest refrigerated outdoor ice sheet in North America, was just ranked #1 in the country by USA Today and has near-perfect ice and skate rentals available.
