[ARCHIVED] Utility Rate Increase Proposed

The City Council is considering significant and sustained increases in the water and sewer rates beginning in 2012.

The Roseville City Council recently received an extensive analysis of the City’s water and sewer infrastructure replacement needs. This analysis confirmed earlier studies showing that the City was not setting aside enough to pay for long-term capital needs.

Thus the City Council is considering significant and sustained increases in the water and sewer rates beginning in 2012. A typical single-family homeowner would see a water and sewer bill increase of $25-40 per quarter (or $8-12 per month). Multi-family and non-residential properties will also see significant increases that will vary depending on individual circumstances.
