Roseville is kicking off another year of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). NEP started in 2008. It offers a proactive approach to inspecting private property and reducing code violations.
The program looks for code violations and works with property owners to make improvements.
From the very beginning, the program was extremely popular and in 2013, the program expanded to include multi-family, commercial, and industrial properties. Over the years, the city has refined the inspection process. This year, staff will visit properties between County Road B and County Road C.

Since its beginning, violations have steadily dropped. In the first year of the program, eight percent of properties had city code or public nuisance violations. After five years, violations dropped to less than four percent of properties.
