Roseville is kicking off another year of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). Started in 2008, NEP offers a proactive approach to inspecting private property.
The program looks for code violations and works with property owners to make improvements.From the very beginning, the program was extremely popular and in 2013, the program expanded to include multi-family, commercial, and industrial properties. Over the years, the city has refined the inspection process. In the first year of the program, eight percent of properties had city code or public nuisance violations. After five years, violations dropped to less than four percent of properties.
