Roseville residents can pick up free compost and woodchips from the bins in front of the Leaf Recycling Center on Dale St., south of County Road C, or the city will deliver up to six cubic yards of compost for a nominal fee.
This nutrient-rich compost will boost soil and help your garden. Woodchips make a great ground cover that reduces weeding, saves water, nourishes soil and reduces the need for chemical weed killers or herbicides.
The delivery charge for compost is $40 per load. Deliveries will be made on Fridays starting May 4. Deliveries can be scheduled online at www.cityofroseville.com/delivery or by calling 651-792-7004.
