Congratulations to nine Roseville residents. The Roseville City Council appointed them to several commissions at its March 12 meeting. Commission members are volunteers and serve as advisors to the City Council.
Jack Reif was appointed to the Finance Commission. The Finance Commission provides input to the budget process, financial policies, recommendations on funding strategies for the capital improvement plan and budget goals and objectives.
Cat Beltmann, Monica Bolinger and Subbaya Subramanian were appointed to the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission (HRIEC). The HRIEC encourages participation in the affairs of the city and advises the council on programs and efforts that could improve civic engagement and community relations, and human rights.
Wayne Groff was appointed to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission provides a forum for input into planning applications and development plans and policies.
Matthew Wright was appointed to the Police Civil Service Commission. It reviews employment practices of the Police Department to ensure they are fair and reasonable as authorized by state statute.
Michael Joyce, Martin Kors, and Michael Kruse were appointed to the Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission. The commission advises the Council and staff on public works, environmental and transportation matters.
The new commission members will begin their appointments in April.
