Skating burns up roughly 500 calories per hour, so spending time on the ice is a healthy way to cap off your Thanksgiving Day.On Thanksgiving, the Minnesota OVAL will open from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for skating and hockey. Cost is $6.00 and skates are available to rent for $4.00.The Minnesota OVAL is located at the northwest corner of Lexington and County Road C in Roseville. It is a unique outdoor recreation facility with 110,000 square feet of ice. It includes a 400-meter skating track surrounding infield ice that is used for hockey and bandy.
