Students, join us for a human rights essay contest. This year, the Roseville Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission challenges sixth, seventh and eighth students to discuss another challenging question.
- Disparities such as racism, sexism and ageism – among others – are still occurring today. Define and discuss one disparity and explain what you think the underlying cause is. What can be done to address it? Include personal and/or sourced examples.
Contest rules are posted online and distributed to all public and private schools in the Roseville Area School District. Contact your principal or teacher for information. Homeschooled students are encouraged to participate. Deadline to submit an essay is January 30, 2018.
Contest rules and additional information is available at www.cityofroseville.com/HRIEC . Last year’s winning essays are also posted there. Contact Assistant City Manager Rebecca Olson at 651-792-7446 or rebecca.olson@cityofroseville.com if you have questions.
