It’s not too early to think about a summer job. Roseville Parks and Recreation will soon be hiring recreation group leaders and sport coaches. Summer job applications are due by March 1 with interviews in mid-March.
Qualifications include employees who enjoy working with kids of all ages. The ideal candidates will be responsible, creative, enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual.
Roseville offers a variety of positions, including recreation group leaders to work with kids at full and half day camps, special events, preschool programs and puppet wagon. Responsibilities vary from setting up events to writing daily curriculum and performing puppet shows. Sport coaches will help provide basic instruction for soccer, t-ball or basketball.
Pay range is from $8.50 to $12.50, depending on experience and job responsibilities. Number of hours will vary depending on job. Recreation group leaders will work between 20 and 40 hours per week while sport coaches typically work 15 to 25 per week.
