Don’t know what to do with old or no longer-working strings of holiday lights? Making the switch to energy efficient LED holiday lights? Either way, recycle your old lights.
The Recycling Association of Minnesota will collect old holiday lights at year-round drop off sites around the state, including Ramsey County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at 5 Empire Drive in St. Paul. Many scrap dealers also accept lights for recycling.
Please check the Recycling Association of Minnesota website at www.recycleminnesota.org for locations. Contact ram@recycleminnesota.org if you have additional questions.
