As part of its commitment to make Roseville a more walkable community, this past summer the city added sidewalks at several locations to connect pedestrian pathways and sidewalks and to improve public safety.
In all, the city added nearly a mile of new sidewalks.
- The City installed new sidewalks at:
- Lincoln Drive between County Road C2 and Lydia Ave.
- Dale Street between County Road B and Sherren St.
- Lexington Ave, between Burke Ave and County Road B
- Lexington Ave, from Sherren to Highway 36
- Along both sides of Twin Lakes Parkway between Prior Ave. and Fairview Ave.
In addition, as part of the recent Mn/DOT project, the City and Ramsey County paid for the sidewalk under the new Highway 36 bridge on the east side of Lexington Ave., and replaced the pathway on County Road C between Lexington Ave. and Hamline Ave.
Sidewalks were added to areas that residents had identified as the greatest need. The City also added sidewalks to areas that improve connectivity between other sidewalks, streets and pathways. The Dale Street and Lexington Ave. (south of County Road B) sidewalk segments were funded with Park Renewal Program funds. The City will add additional sidewalk segments next year with these same funds.
