Residents and contractors doing business in Roseville will soon have the option to conduct their permit and inspection transactions from the convenience of their home, office or even in the field.
The Roseville City Council has authorized the Community Development department to enter into an agreement with Accela to implement an online solution through the City’s website for permits, inspections, licensing, and code enforcement.
The new system will streamline and automate the vast majority of counter-based services like permit applications, inspection requests and fee payments that traditionally have required a trip to City Hall.
In addition, residents and contractors will also be able to conduct business with the City outside of standard hours, pay for permits online, and receive email progress updates about an application or code enforcement issue.
The new online system, which will also be accessible via mobile devices and smart phones, is expected to be available for use in early 2017.
