The City of Roseville is in the process of completing a thorough damage assessment in the wake of yesterday’s early evening storm. Initial indications are that the Roseville area did experience minor damage.
Most of the damage being reported is in the form of down trees and tree limbs and power outages, and that an emergency declaration is not necessary.
The City did experience some flooding in low-lying areas, but all roadways are now clear of standing water.
The Public Works department is currently focusing on clearing debris from roadway right-of-ways, while Xcel Energy crews work to restore power to pockets of the city that remain without electricity. The Parks and Recreation department is also working on clean-up efforts and is focusing on clearing city trails by the end of the day before moving on to removing debris from City parks as equipment becomes available.
Residents wishing to report downed trees or other storm damage on public property in Roseville should contact Public Works at 651-792-7004 during business hours or 651-767-0640 after business hours.
