The Roseville City Council will consider an ordinance that prohibits feeding wildlife and establishes a deer management plan that allows for deer hunts within the City at its November 9 meeting.
Over the years the City has received feedback from residents concerned about wildlife and the damage they are causing to gardens and landscaping as well as the a public safety danger wildlife can have on the traveling public.
The City Council and staff researched options to limit the impact wildlife can have on residences. After receiving input from residents, wildlife specialists, and Ramsey County, the Council will vote on the proposed ordinance on Monday.
The proposed ordinance will be available to review on the City’s website www.cityofroseville.com by Friday, November 6.
Residents are welcome to attend the Council meeting. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. Meetings are open to the public. Meetings are web-streamed live at www.cityofroseville.com/webstreaming and shown on Cable Channel 16.
