We often get calls from food truck vendors asking about operating a food truck in Roseville. Food trucks are not regulated by the city, but to operate in Roseville they must have a valid food vendor license and carry adequate insurance.
Food trucks may temporarily park at a business and sell food to customers. Food trucks may also park at a private residence for a special event; however, an owner/operator may not park a commercial vehicle at the residence or on a city street for more than two hours at a time.
Food trucks are allowed at businesses that are hosting special events for employees or customers, but the business must have a temporary special event permit. Applications are available at www.cityofroseville.com/specialeventpermit. Contact City Planner Thomas Paschke at thomas.paschke@cityofroseville.com or 651-792-7074 if you have questions.
Unauthorized food trucks are not allowed at city parks. Vendors are encouraged to contact the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department if interested in selling from a food truck at city events including concerts, movies, Rosefest, Fourth of July Party in the Park, or other community events. Contact Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Jill Anfang at jill.anfang@cityofroseville.com or 651-792-7102 to add your name to the food truck vendor list.
