Advisory Commission Openings 

The City Council is seeking applicants for vacancies on the Finance Commission and the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission. Sump Pumps

With all the snow and rain, homeowners’ sump pumps will likely get an extra workout this spring. The City of Roseville reminds residents where a sump pump can be discharged. A property is only allowed to discharge its sump pump on its own property. The discharge point may not extend into the right of way, which is typically about 15 feet from the curb. The discharge point should not be in a location that causes drainage issues for other properties.  Read more

Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale

Help yourself, help your wallet and help the earth at the same time. Purchase a rain barrel and/or a compost bin from the Recycling Association of Minnesota. Compost bins cost $64 plus tax and rain barrels cost $79 plus tax. Ramsey County residents receive $20 off compost bins. Home composting is a way to trim your trash and get free garden mulch or soil supplement at the same time. Collecting rainwater also offers many advantages to the homeowner. Read more

Learn how to make spectacular dyed eggs using environmentally friendly natural dyes. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to its Egg Dyeing: Natural Dyes class on Thursday, April 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 Dale St. You’ll learn easy ways to create patterns on your eggs. Participants will get a chance to take the “Who Lays Eggs?” scavenger hunt and other fun and games. For children six years and older accompanied by an adult. Read more
