Primary Election

Primary Election August 14

There is a primary election for the Roseville Mayor and City Council and several federal, state and judicial offices on August 14. Three candidates have filed for the mayor’s seat and six candidates have filed for the two Council seats. The primary election will narrow the field to two candidates for mayor and four candidates for City Council. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visit mnvotes.org to see if you are registered, find your polling place and view a sample ballot. Read more

Get “Frozen” at the OVAL

Bring the kids, bring a treat, bring a comfy seat and enjoy a movie under the stars. Join Roseville Parks and Recreation on Friday, August 10 for a frosty evening of free family fun. We are showing Frozen, the Walt Disney Animation Studios comedy adventure with fearless Anna, her mysterious sister Elsa, and a hilarious snowman. The adventure begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Roseville OVAL, 2661 Civic Center Drive. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Call 651-792-7006 for questions. Read more

Lee Engele

Lee Engele and Friends at the Rog

Help say goodbye to Roseville’s summer. Lee Engele will perform on Tuesday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m. for the last performance of Roseville’s 2018 summer concert season. Throughout the summer, Roseville offers free music at Frank Rog Amphitheatre, at the corner of Lexington Ave and County Road C. Jazz vocalist Lee Engele and Friends had to take a raincheck in July, so they’ll performing the closing concert on August 14.

Japanese Beetles

Japanese beetles are alive and well and probably feeding on your linden tree, rose bushes and other plants in your yard. They feed on shrubs, turf grasses and trees, leaving behind damaged plants. The adult beetles appear in late June through September to feed, mate and lay eggs. The beetles are destructive, but treatments to control the larvae and the beetles are available. It’s important to use the appropriate type of treatment to control the beetles.  Read more
