2019 Budget Process Underway

Roseville residents may be surprised to learn that the City’s annual budget is approximately $54 million. With this level of investment, it’s important for residents and businesses to let the city know if the budget reflects the community’s priorities. Over the next several months, the Roseville City Council will hold meetings to listen to the community, identify priorities, review strategies and set the 2019 budget.The City Council encourages residents to participate in the public meetings. Long-Time Staffers Set to Retire

Congratulations to Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Jill Anfang and License Center Supervisor Dorothy Wrzos. They each are retiring at the end of April. Anfang is retiring April 27 after 19 years and Wrzos is retiring April 30 after 26 years with the City of Roseville. Wrzos started working as a customer service assistant and worked her way up to supervisor in 2002. Anfang was hired in 1998 as a recreation superintendent. Roseville’s Community Health Awareness Team (CHAT) is hosting a free Advance Care Planning (ACP) discussion from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ACP is a process that helps you consider and record your choices for future health care decisions. Around this time of year, City of Roseville staff get complaints from homeowners who have door-to-door salespeople pressuring them to buy products or services. In the springtime, complaints usually are about salespeople trying to sell lawn services, tree trimming or other landscaping projects. Some solicitors target senior citizens and try to scare them into making immediate decisions about their product or service. Solicitation in Roseville is legal from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Read more
