Improved Fire Insurance Rating

Roseville Earns Class 2 Fire Rating

The City of Roseville has received an improved fire insurance rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO), and that could mean lower insurance premiums for homeowners and businesses in the community. The city's Public Protection Classification (PPC) will officially be upgraded from Class 3 to Class 2 in April. The improved rating comes on the heels of an extensive assessment in late 2017 by the ISO, which reviews a community’s fire response capabilities every five years. Read more

Draft Comp Plan Update Ready

Residents, here’s your chance to review Roseville’s draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update. It is available at Printed copies are also available for review at City Hall. A comprehensive plan guides the growth, redevelopment and overall improvement of a city. Cities update their Comp Plan every 10 years, recalibrating it to ensure that it continues to reflect the community’s collective vision and aligns with the Met Council’s plan for the region. Read more

Cedarholm Community Building

What’s New at Cedarholm?

The snow is still around, but warmer temperatures are on the way. Cedarholm Golf Course will be ready to open as soon as the weather warms up, but this year there’s a lot more activity than usual at the golf course. In 2017, the Roseville City Council approved construction of a new community building and cart storage facility at Cedarholm Golf Course. Construction has been going on through winter. The new building will open to the public in late June. Read more

Learn how to Prune Fruit Trees

There’s nothing better than fresh fruit from your own backyard. But keeping your fruit trees healthy can be a challenge. Pruning keeps trees healthier and more productive. The Food Group is offering a free class on how to prune fruit trees. They’ll start in the classroom at the nature center, and then move to the arboretum orchard to get hands-on pruning experience. This class is offered as part of the Fruits of the City program.

Outdoor Skating Ends Soon

Strap on the ice skates one more time. Winter will be ending soon and so will skating at Roseville’s Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL. The last day for skating at the OVAL will be March 4. Check the schedule at or call 651-792-7191 for the public skating schedule. Following the OVAL season, skaters can enjoy skating year round at Roseville’s Indoor Skating Arena. Read more
