High-Yield Impact

Join the volunteer gardening team. Roseville Parks and Recreation is looking for some green thumbs. Even if your thumb isn’t so green, you can help. Roseville relies on volunteers to help keep city parks in tiptop shape. Each year, individuals, businesses and community groups help through the Adopt-a-Park, Arboretum Green Team and Blooming Boulevards programs. Roseville Police Academy

We’ve watched the cop shows and seen how they solve a crime. Now it’s time to learn how the work is really done. The Roseville Police Department invites Roseville residents to join them for the 2017 Citizens Police Academy. The 2017 Citizens Police Academy gives you a behind-the-scenes look at your police department. Officers will show participants how they conduct crime-scene investigations. You’ll learn about body-worn cameras, data privacy, forensic science, narcotics, K9's, SWAT, crime prevention, and more. Read more

Sewer Rehabilitation

Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

The Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), operator of the metro-area wastewater collection and treatment system, is hosting an open house on March 8 regarding improvements to sanitary sewer facilities that serve Roseville. MCES improvements to aging and deteriorating regional sanitary sewer facilities are being made along Dale Street North, from the Highway 36 (eastbound off ramp) to Belmont Lane West. Read more

House Painting Help Available

Does your home need to be painted? You may be eligible for a free paint job. Each year the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches sponsors a Paint-A-Thon the first weekend of August. To be eligible, participants must be a homeowner who meets income guidelines and be 60 years or older or have a permanent disability. The monthly household income cannot exceed $1,980 for one person, $2,670 for two people or $3,360 for three people. Read more
