Keya Park chosen as new name for Pocahontas Park.

Keya Park Chosen as New Name for Pocahontas Park

Keya means turtle in the Dakota language and it's now the new name for a Roseville neighborhood park.

In February, the City Council voted to rename the 5.7-acre park, formerly called Pocahontas Park, after two years of analysis and robust community engagement.

Roseville Fire Department News Release - Structure Fire - 02/07/2023

Roseville Fire Responds to Residence Hall Blaze

The Roseville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a University of Northwestern residence hall and extinguished a kitchenette blaze on Tuesday night.

No injuries were reported, but a resident room in the building sustained fire and smoke damage. An adjacent hallway also sustained minor smoke damage.

It's Tapping Time - Many Volunteers Needed

Saturday, March 25, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and
Sunday, March 26, noon – 4:00 p.m.
Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 North Dale St

Come along as volunteers tap maple trees, collect sap and boil it to make delicious maple syrup. Learn about traditional syruping methods, listen to Native American stories, and taste maple treats. Volunteers are on hand collecting and cooking the sap and explaining the whole process. We are in need of volunteers throughout the festival to assist with kids activities and in the kitchen. Most activities will be outside.
