Volunteer Spotlight: Mary Vorhes

If you have walked through the Roseville's Muriel Sahlin Arboretum in Central Park, then you have likely seen the fruits of Mary Vorhes' labor.  

Vorhes is one of our most dedicated volunteers and has  maintained the butterfly gardens in the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum for more than ten years. Mary believes that volunteering isn't just great for the gardens, but also great for the volunteers. Read on.

Help Needed in Reservoir Woods!

Join us at Reservoir Woods beginning Tuesday, April 26 to help support our native plants and animals by removing invasive garlic mustard. 

Volunteer time slots are available most Tuesdays and Saturdays, starting April 26 through May 24. Volunteers are welcome to attend any or all sessions! More details.

Bring your family and friends to rediscover a forgotten pastime: kite flying! On Saturday, April 30, head over to Rosebrook Park (2590 Fry Street) between 10am - noon to join others in this fun event. Feel free to bring your own kite or kids can receive a free kite (please register so we know how many kites to bring).
