Pickleball Opportunities

Interest in pickleball has grown in recent years, and so has the demand for more pickleball courts. The City of Roseville is considering a proposal to turn the tennis courts at Evergreen Park into six permanent pickleball courts. Currently, the courts are available for pickleball half of the time and for tennis half of the time. As part of the proposal, the city would work with Roseville Area Schools to restore the Fairview Community Center courts to meet tennis needs in southwest Roseville. Read more

Fridays with Firefighters

Kids, spend a Friday with a firefighter. Join us for a scavenger hunt, spray the fire hose, learn how you can prevent a fire, climb aboard a fire truck, and more. Specially designed for kids 12 years and younger. Stop by the Roseville Fire Station any time between 10:00 a.m. and noon on the Friday July 16 or Friday, August 20. There is no need for reservations or to call ahead. The station is located at 2701 Lexington Ave N. Please park in the City Hall parking lot. Read more

Americans With Disabilities Day

The City of Roseville joins communities across the nation to declare July 26, 2021, as the anniversary of the enactment of the Americans With Disabilities Act in the City of Roseville. On June 21, the City Council approved Roseville’s Americans With Disabilities Act Day Proclamation. The proclamation acknowledges the city’s efforts to become an inclusive community that is free of physical, communication and social barriers. It also recognizes that challenges continue to exist. Read more

Whether planting a tree, adding a fence or building a new addition, state law requires a person to contact Gopher State One-Call at least 48 hours (excluding weekends, holidays and emergencies) before digging on your property. Gopher State checks with public utilities to see whether any of their lines pose a hazard to where you plan to dig. Every Meal

Fighting Food Insecurity

The City of Roseville and Every Meal are continuing their partnership to make free food available to anyone in need. Anyone who is struggling with food insecurity is encouraged to stop by the Roseville Fire Station to pick up a food bag. Food bags are available for pick up 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from the vestibule at the Roseville Fire Station located at 2701 Lexington Ave. More than 400,000 children in Minnesota live in food insecurity. Read more

Lock Doors When Doing Yardwork

How long does it take to mow a lawn? Long enough for a thief to slip into your garage or home through an unlocked door. Thieves know that homeowners often leave doors unlocked or garage doors open and take advantage of the time you’re distracted while working or relaxing in the yard. They can listen for the mower and when it’s turned off, they know it’s time to make a run for it. Although Roseville is a safe community, thieves do visit the area. Read more

T’ai Chi Chih Outdoors

Reduce stress in your life. Try T’ai Chi Chih, a practice of gentle, meditative moves that can help reduce stress, increase range of motion, and improve balance. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to try T'ai Chi Chih in an outdoor setting. Meet Thursdays through September 2 at Central Park West at Victoria in Roseville from 5:45-6:45 p.m. The instructor is Karen Carrier. Drop-in, no registration needed and it's free.
