City Staff Provides Equity Report

The City of Roseville is working to create an inclusive community where the predictability of success is not based on race or ethnicity. At the June 21, 2021 City Council meeting, department heads representing the city’s seven departments – Police, Parks and Recreation, Community Development, Public Works, Administration, Finance and Fire – presented a report detailing the equity work taking place within the city.

Paperless Building Permits 

In an effort to move to greater efficiency, Roseville’s Community Development Department has gone to online only applications for all building permits and licenses. The city has successfully used the paperless system for the past two years. The online system means a quicker turnaround for issuing permits and licenses. In addition, plans can be attached to the application prior to submittal, and permits can be paid for and tracked online.

Night to Unite

Register your Block Party

It’s never too early to start planning. Roseville’s community-wide Night to Unite is coming up on August 3. Night to Unite is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors and welcome newcomers to the community. Get a jump on the crowd, register your gathering and be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card to purchase supplies for your party. Disc Golf Camp

Kids, combine Frisbee and golf and you’ve got disc golf. Learn how to play at Roseville’s Disc Golf Camp. Join Roseville Parks and Recreation July 12 to July 15 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Acorn Park, 286 County Road C. Campers ages 7 to 11 will learn the basics of disc golf and practice disc golf skills while taking part in fun activities and friendly competitions. All equipment is provided. Cost is $87 regular and $79 for Roseville residents. Read more

Lacrosse

Non-Contact Lacrosse Camp

Kids, ages 7 to 11, join us for a camp to learn how to play the oldest organized sport in North America - lacrosse. Roseville Parks and Recreation is hosting a camp July 19 to 22 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Central Park Dale Street Field. Campers will learn and practice the basics of lacrosse, including catching, throwing, ground balls, shooting and defending and take part in friendly scrimmages. All equipment is provided. Cost is $87 regular and $79 for Roseville residents. Read more

Learn to Dance the Hula

Learn to dance to Hawaiian music. Hula is a Hawaiian dance that is perfect exercise for one’s entire body. The City of Roseville is offering a variety of Hula classes for people of all ages. Caregivers with small children ages birth to 4, join us for Baby and Me Hula class. Dancers can wear the baby while dancing or the baby can dance along, learning basic Hula steps and hand motions. Dance classes meet on Wednesdays from July 7 to July 28 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Read more

Whether new to yoga or an experienced yoga practitioner, Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering a class that is just right for you. Options include Sunrise Yoga, Yoga in the Park and Virtual Chair Yoga. Participants, please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.
