Brooks Named Equity and Inclusion Manager

Equity and Inclusion Manager Named

Roseville City Manager Patrick Trudgeon announced the hiring of Thomas Brooks as Roseville’s Equity and Inclusion Manager. The Equity and Inclusion Manager is a new position that was authorized by the City Council in the 2021 budget. Brooks’ hiring is part of the city’s commitment to identify and address barriers to equity. Brooks will work to ensure that racial equity principles are integrated into all operations, projects and services offered in and by the city. Read more

New Assistant Fire Chief Announced

The City of Roseville announced that Neil Sjostrom has been selected as the Fire Department’s next Assistant Fire Chief. Sjostrom will assume the role on June 1, when current Assistant Chief David Brosnahan takes the helm as Roseville Fire Chief. Sjostrom currently serves as a battalion chief with the Roseville Fire Department. He initially joined Roseville Fire in 2005. Since then, he filled numerous roles within the department before being promoted to battalion chief in 2016. Read more

Spring Yardwork

Spring Yardwork

The early spring means many homeowners are getting a jump on yardwork. One of the big projects is often raking leaves, grass, mulch and dead plant material to prepare the soil for spring planting. The City of Roseville reminds you that these items may not be raked into the street. Homeowners are responsible to dispose of any yard waste. Residents have several options to dispose of yard waste. Leaves can be dropped off at Roseville’s Leaf Compost site at 2580 Dale St. Read more

Protecting our Groundwater

As you get ready for spring yardwork, the City of Roseville asks you to do your part to protect the city’s groundwater. The chemicals you apply to the lawn can seep into groundwater and run off into the storm sewer system and wind up in neighboring lakes and ponds. For the best results, use the minimum amount of fertilizer based on the manufacturer’s recommended rates and fertilize on a cool day before a rainfall or before irrigating, allowing the fertilizer to work into the soil. Read more
