City Offices Closed Presidents Day

Roseville City offices, including the License and Passport Center, will be closed on Monday, February 15, in observance of Presidents Day. Roseville Police and Fire remain on duty. Garbage and recycling services will not be affected by the holiday.


Flavored Tobacco Ordinance

City Enacts Tobacco Sales Ordinance

The Roseville City Council voted unanimously to pass an ordinance restricting the sale of flavored tobacco products in Roseville at its February 8 meeting. The ordinance prohibits most retailers from selling flavored tobacco products, including flavored vaping products. The ordinance allows the four tobacco-only retailers in the city to continue selling flavored tobacco as long as they prohibit persons under the age of 21 from entering the place of business and meet other standards. Read more

Short-Term Rental Regulation

The Roseville City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance at its Monday, February 8 meeting regulating short-term rental properties in the city. The ordinance requires licensing and minimum stays for non-owner occupied short-term rental units. In the ordinance, short-term rental properties are considered to be units rented for 30 or fewer consecutive days. These type of rentals are typically booked on websites like Airbnb or VRBO. Rental Licenses Issued

The Roseville City Council issued rental licenses for three multifamily properties owned by G&G Management in Southeast Roseville at its Monday, February 8 meeting. The licenses had previously been revoked because of numerous code violations. The City of Roseville requires multifamily housing units to meet a minimum level of upkeep to operate. If a property does not meet minimum health and safety standards, the city can revoke a property’s multifamily rental license. Read more

Natural Resources Renewal

Help Maintain Roseville Parks

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at a local park as part of the city’s natural resources renewal project. On February 20 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Roseville is looking for volunteers to help remove buckthorn at Villa Park, 2055 Cohansey Blvd. Groups, individuals, and families are encouraged to participate. People of all ages are welcome and will have a role to play. Read more

Rice & Larpenteur Gathering

The Rice & Larpenteur Alliance invites neighbors to join them on Wednesday, February 17 from noon to 1:00 p.m. for a virtual community gathering via Zoom. It’s a chance to celebrate progress being made at Rice and Larpenteur and to discuss ways to advance shared community vision for the area. The gathering will include a recap of what happened in 2020 and an opportunity to hear from community leaders and discuss how to further a shared community vision in 2021 and beyond. Read more
