General Election

General Election is November 3

Roseville residents will elect two councilmembers at the November 3 election. Voters will also vote for several federal, state, county and judicial offices. Four candidates are running for the Roseville City Council. Candidates appearing on the ballot, in alphabetical order, are: Jason Etten; Lisa Laliberte; Julie Strahan; Dannah Thompson. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visit mnvotes.org to see if you are registered, find your polling location and view a sample ballot. Read more

License Center Temporary Closure

The Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles will be migrating to MNDRIVE the new statewide computer system, for Driver’s License and Vehicle Registrations. To make this transition, license centers across the state will close Tuesday, November 10 at 3:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, November 16. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Roseville’s Passport Office will not be affected by the transition and will remain open by appointment. Read more

Adopt a Drain – Fall Cleanup Week

Don’t let the snowy weather deter you from cleaning storm drains near your home. Cleaning the snow and leaves from around storm sewer drains prevents potential flooding and keeps pollutants from washing into the storm sewers. Every storm drain leads to a wetland, pond or lake. Those waterways lead to the Mississippi River, which is where Roseville and many other local municipalities get their drinking water, so it’s important to clear storm sewers and protect waterways. Read more


What Does Your Pumpkin Turn Into?

The goblins are gone; the treats are eaten. One more Halloween clean up chore – putting your pumpkins in their proper place. Pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns and other yard waste make great compost. Remove all candles and hardware, and toss the pumpkins in your backyard compost bin and let them decompose over the winter, or take pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, corn stalks and hay bales to a free Ramsey County yard waste site. Please put the pumpkins in the leaf pile. Read more

Recycling Ambassadors

Recycling Ambassador Program 

Become a Recycling Ambassador and inspire your community to reduce waste and recycle better. The City of Roseville is partnering with Ramsey County to create a Recycling Ambassador Program. Recycling ambassadors complete a six-week training to learn more about environmental health, waste systems and recycling. They take that knowledge and volunteer 20 hours (or more) each year to encourage others to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Read more
