2020 Municipality of the Year

Congratulations to the City of Roseville. Roseville was named the 2020 Municipality of the Year by the Minnesota Real Estate Journal. On October 1, the City of Roseville was recognized for the work its Economic Development Authority (EDA) has been engaged in to attract new businesses and to support the growth and prosperity of existing area businesses. The EDA has been instrumental in fostering public and private partnerships to attract new development and redevelopment in Roseville. Read more

Fair Voting for Everyone

One of the fundamental rights for every American is voting. For most voters it’s as simple as requesting an absentee ballot or going to the polling place. But for some, voting takes on a special challenge. People who are blind or have a disability or someone who has trouble holding a pen often need another person to help them fill out the ballot. To help ensure everyone’s right to privacy, all voting locations now have accessible devices that allow anyone to vote on their own. Read more

The City of Roseville invites area businesses to a free Business Council webinar to hear Roseville’s Economic Development Authority team recap developments successfully completed in 2020, provide updates on ongoing projects, and offer a preview of upcoming projects and plans in concept stage heading into 2021. Join us for the free webinar on Wednesday, October 28 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Internet access is required, and the Zoom platform will be used. Read more

Nature Journaling

Nature Journaling Workshop 

Explore nature in a new way. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to an Arts Skill Workshop. Class meets on Mondays, November 2, 9, and 16 at Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 Dale St. N from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nature journaling is a fun way to learn how to identify native plant and animal species. Participants will learn clever sketching techniques that increase the powers of observation and make drawings more accurate. Gain confidence in your artistic abilities. Read more

Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule

Having trouble paying your energy bill? Minnesota Energy Resources reminds residents that the Cold Weather Rule will help protect income eligible households from having their service disconnected. Under the rule, income eligible residential customers are protected from service disconnection between October 15 and April 15, if disconnection would affect their primary heating source. Eligible customers must take a few steps to ensure protection. Read more

Zoom into a New Exercise Routine

Zoom into a New Exercise Routine

Can’t make it to the gym; we’ve got you covered. Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering two fun Zoom classes – Baby and Me Hula and Chair Yoga. Instructor Kumu Kanani Johnson has designed a great hula routine for you and your child. Instructor Elizabeth Fletcher will teach Chair Yoga that focuses on improving flexibility, balance and ease in movement. During this 75-minute class, participants use breath, movement and meditation to align the body, mind and spirit. Read more
