Adams Deputy Chief of Police

Roseville Names Deputy Chief

Congratulations to Joe Adams, Roseville’s new Deputy Chief of Police. Adams replaces Erika Scheider, who was promoted to Police Chief in September. Adams, a 13-year RPD veteran who has served as a Lieutenant since 2018, begins his new role as Deputy Chief on October 1. In addition to Adams’ promotion, Sergeant Jenn Engh has been promoted to Lieutenant of Investigations and Sergeant Travis Steinberg has been promoted to Lieutenant of Patrol. Read more

City Receives SAFER Grant

Thanks to a generous federal grant, six new firefighters will be working in Roseville in 2021. The City Council accepted the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant at its September 28 Council meeting. The $1.87 million federal grant provides three years’ worth of funding for Roseville to increase the number of firefighters. The funding ensures the city will be better staffed to respond to emergency calls and provide for the safety of all firefighters. Read more

Fee Relief Extended

City to Extend Fee Relief

The Roseville City Council voted to extend a waiver of utility late fees during its September 28 City Council meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on residents, the City Council has instructed city staff to waive the late fee for utility bills due on October 31, November 30, and December 31, 2020. The city will continue to accept partial payments and emphasized that it does not disconnect water supplies to properties for late or non-payment. Read more


Clean Up Day in Roseville

Do you have a dishwasher that doesn’t work? Leftover lumber from a home repair project, or junk that has been accumulating for too long? For a small fee, the City of Roseville will dispose of these items for you. Roseville residents can bring unwanted items to the Dale Street Soccer Fields parking lot (2555 Dale St.) during Roseville's rescheduled Clean Up Day on Saturday, October 17. This event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To ensure everyone’s safety, please stay in your vehicle and allow crews to unload items. Read more

Fire Safety Week

Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen

Fire safety in the kitchen will be the focus of Fire Prevention Week 2020, October 4-10. The majority of U.S. home fires start in the kitchen. Nearly half (49 percent) of all home fires involve cooking equipment. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of the fires. Most fires are preventable. Roseville firefighters encourage you to talk with your family about fire safety, have at least one fire extinguisher in the home and follow these important steps to keep everyone safe. Read more
