Special Resolution

City Council Approves Resolution

The City Council adopted a resolution this week approving temporary waivers to certain City Code requirements to allow restaurants greater flexibility for outdoor seating and to allow drive-in religious services. The resolution was adopted in response to Phase II of Governor Time Walz’s Stay Safe MN plan announced Wednesday, May 20 and is designed to further aid in the support and recovery of local businesses and faith organizations. Phase II allows for bars and restaurants to open for outdoor service June 1. Read more

What’s Open/What’s Closed

The city has created a webpage with information about events, facilities, meetings, programs and services. The page provides details about changes to meetings or activities or when a decision will be made about any changes. Visit www.cityofroseville.com and click the “What’s Open and What’s Closed at the City” link on the homepage for the most up-to-date information. Phase I of the state’s COVID-19 response, Stay Safe MN, began on May 18. Read more

Neighborhood Enhancement Program

NEP to Start in Early June

Roseville is kicking off another year of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). Started in 2008, NEP offers a proactive approach to inspecting private property, looking for code violations and working with property owners to make improvements. From the very beginning, the program has been extremely popular. In 2013, the program expanded to include multi-family, commercial, and industrial properties. Beginning in June, staff will visit properties in the northern half of the city. Read more

Whether planting a tree, adding a fence or building a new addition, state law requires a person to contact Gopher State One-Call at least 48 hours (excluding weekends, holidays and emergencies) before digging on your property. Gopher State checks with public utilities to see whether any of their lines pose a hazard to where you plan to dig. Science and Nature Activity Kits

Science & Nature Activity Kits

The Bell Museum staff have been busy packing and distributing Science & Nature Activity Kits for 1,350 elementary-aged scholars in the Roseville School District. In partnership with the District's Nutrition Services Team, these Museum at Home kits were distributed to families alongside their school provided meals. Kits included a wide range of activities students can use independently. These activities were developed to spark curiosity and exploration during distance learning. Read more
