City Council Appoints Commission Members

New Commission Members

Congratulations to four Roseville residents. The Roseville City Council appointed them to several commissions at its March 9 meeting. The new commission members are Michelle Lenhart (Parks & Recreation), Robert Murphy and Adepeju Solarin (Police Civil Service), and Jarrod Cicha (Public Works, Environment and Transportation). Commission members are volunteers and serve as advisors to the City Council. The new members begin their appointments in April. Read more

Public financing from the City of Roseville supports economic development by addressing blighted properties, enhancing infrastructure such as stormwater management, supporting housing options, and other efforts. Roseville invests in economic development through Tax Increment Financing, fee waivers, and environmental cleanup funds. The city has developed an online interactive resource that provides information about publically financed projects. Read more

Census Help

Census Help Available

Census forms will be arriving in homes soon. Every household is required to complete the census. If you or someone you know needs assistance completing the census, help is available. Help is available by phone, online or in person. Minnesota has more than 200 Census Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QAC) with computers and volunteers ready to help a person complete the census. The Ramsey County Library in Roseville is a QAC. Read more

Service Enterprise Recertified

The City of Roseville has been recertified as a Service Enterprise organization by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. Roseville was initially Service Enterprise certified in 2016, becoming the first city in the nation to earn the distinction. Achieving recertification places Roseville among the top 11 percent of organizations nationwide in volunteer management and organizational performance.

Prune Like a Pro

Learn to Prune Like a Pro

Trees are a great investment. They provide protection for wildlife and they add beauty and value to a home. The City of Roseville and Ramsey County Master Gardeners invite you to a free class to learn proper tree pruning techniques. They’ll start in the classroom at the nature center, and then move to the arboretum to give participants an opportunity to practice hands-on pruning techniques. Dress for the weather and bring gloves, pruning shears, loppers and hand saws. Read more

Arts@theOVAL

Splashes of color will be appearing this spring in nature and at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL. The Roseville Area Arts Council and the City of Roseville invite you to join us at Arts@theOVAL, where more than 25 juried artists will display and sell their fine arts and crafts. Artists’ work includes painting, jewelry, glass, fiber, woodwork, photography and mixed media. Join us on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The OVAL is located at 2661 Civic Center Drive. Read more
