Last Weekend of the OVAL Season 

Grab your skates and head down to the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL this weekend. The OVAL closes for the season on Monday, March 1. This is your last chance to get in those final laps or play some outdoor hockey. Check the public skating schedule for ice times.

Finance Commission Openings

The Roseville City Council is seeking applicants for two vacancies on the Finance Commission. Commissions serve as voluntary advisory boards to the City Council. The Application deadline is Tuesday, March 10. The Finance Commission focuses on the budget process, financial policies, recommendations on funding strategies for the capital improvement plan and budget goals and objectives in such areas as local tax rate and spending targets. Read more

Roseville’s State of the City

Mayor Dan Roe presented Roseville’s State of the City address on Wednesday morning. Mayor Roe highlighted the accomplishments as well as challenges Roseville faces to maintain the city’s health and vibrancy. He reviewed the city’s efforts to meet Roseville’s aspirations to strengthen our community. Video of the Mayor’s speech is available on the city's website and YouTube page. It will be replayed on Cable Channel 16 throughout the month of March. Read more

Super Tuesday

The Presidential Primary is on Tuesday, March 3. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In the Presidential Primary, each major party specifies the names of candidates that will appear on the ballot. Each party determine if an uncommitted option or write-in option is allowed. Voters will select whether they want to vote on the Democrat or Republican ticket, and that information is made available to the chairs of each major political party. Read more

Census 2020

How do you divide $675 billion in federal tax dollars fairly across the nation? You start with an accurate census count of every person living in the United States. One of the most important things you can do for Minnesota, and for Roseville, is to complete the 2020 Census. Every household will receive an invitation to complete the census in mid-March. The letter will include a web address, a unique Census ID Code and a toll-free telephone number to call for assistance. Read more

Tapping Time!

Learn to Make Maple Syrup

Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to Harriet Alexander Nature Center to learn the secret of making maple syrup. Join us on Saturday, February 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Sunday, March 1 from noon to 4 p.m. You’ll get a hands-on experience tapping trees the traditional way. Participants will hear Native American stories and taste maple treats. No charge for this family-friendly outing. Open to all ages.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Install a carbon monoxide detector. It could save your life, and it’s the law. All homes in Minnesota must have CO detectors. Homeowners who do not have a CO detector could face liability charges if someone in their home is injured or killed by carbon monoxide poisoning or smoke inhalation. Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas. The gas can build up to a toxic level if appliances are not maintained or a chimney is blocked or not properly vented. Read more
