Explore nature in a new way. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to an Arts Skill Workshop. Class meets on Mondays, November 2, 9, and 16 at Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 Dale St. from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Nature journaling is a fun way to learn how to identify native plant and animal species. Participants will learn clever sketching techniques that increase the powers of observation and make drawings more accurate. Gain confidence in your artistic abilities and create a beautiful collection of drawings. This class is taught by scientific illustrator Cora Hays.
Basic materials will be provided, but participants can bring a journal, sketchbook or drawing paper, and other art supplies. No previous art experience necessary. Weather permitting, workshops may include outside exploration, so please dress for the weather.
