Prescribed Burns in Roseville Parks

This spring, prescribed burns are planned within select Roseville parks to maintain and improve the quality of native vegetation and habitats.

This spring, prescribed burns are planned within select Roseville parks to maintain and improve the quality of native vegetation and habitats. This work is anticipated to occur at Central Park (Harriet Alexander Nature Center and Bennett Lake areas) and Acorn Park in May. Prescribed burn(s) will occur during daylight hours as weather conditions allow. The effort will be conducted by trained natural resources professionals from Stantec. Their staff is experienced in the application of prescribed fire and the work will be conducted with appropriate permit(s) and in accordance with a formal prescribed burn plan. Necessary public officials will be notified immediately prior to starting the burns and following completion. For more information and FAQ’s click here.
