Where do you get rid of old fertilizer? What do you do with unwanted paint or pesticides? Drop it off contact-free at a Ramsey County household hazardous waste (HHW) collection site.
Hazardous waste, including fluorescent lights and mercury vapor lamps, mercury thermostats and switches, old gasoline, paint, lead paint chips, solvents, pesticides, antifreeze, motor oil and filters, cell phones, propane tanks, or any products labeled poisonous, flammable or corrosive, can be disposed of at no cost. To practice safe social-distancing, load items into your trunk or cargo bed. At the site, stay in your vehicle while staff unload the items for you.
The HHW mobile collection sites located throughout Ramsey County will be open on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Staff recommends that you visit mid-afternoon when traffic is usually low.
