Employees from Hawkins Inc. turned a morning of volunteerism into a bit of a party!
More than 80 employees from the chemical manufacturer and distributor cleaned up their corner of the community at a volunteer event they playfully called the “Trash Bash”.
On Tuesday, April 22, volunteers, in coordination with the City of Roseville, gathered litter and debris discarded along roads and pathways in the business district near the intersection of 35W and Minnesota 36. After the work was complete, employees gathered together to have pizza and conversation.
Hawkins regularly hosts employee volunteer opportunities allowing their employees to devote a portion of their workday to good causes.
“The Trash Bash is a fun way for our team to come together, make a real impact, and show that even small actions can add up to a cleaner, healthier community. We’re proud to support our employees in giving back and look forward to continuing these efforts,” said Michael Belenkiy, Marketing Manager at Hawkins Inc.
Roseville Volunteer Manager Rachel Boggs said corporate volunteer groups including Hawkins are helping our keep our community beautiful and helping the city’s bottom line.
“Thank you, Hawkins volunteers for your time, effort, and commitment to our community,” Boggs said. “We look forward to working together for years to come.”
